<itunes:summary>This week we have a little something for everyone. We look at Jack, whose motto is, “Cooking is for suckers.” We discuss how his outlook on home food preparation vs. restaurants and highly processed prepared foods could be limiting his wealth. We also question some of his assumptions on how economical fast food is.

Next, we attack a short article from WCTV about the low price of fast food in Tallahassee and how some Tallahassee residents say they get the most out of their dollar at fast food restaurants. We discuss how the supposed money savings that are derived, might in fact be driving higher expenses for those same people in the future.
Last, we look at an article from Yahoo! News about how Alabama sheriffs feed inmates on $1.75 a day. We discuss how they do it and how they probably should be spending more on food than that. More importantly, we discuss how their ability to keep food spending so low shows that there might be some room in your food budget to save some additional money.
Book mentioned about fast food: Fast Food Nation – Good book
Movie based on Fast Food Nation: Fast Food Nation DVD – We’ve never watched it, but are going to now that we’ve found it.
Movie mentioned on the effects of fast food: Super Size Me – Great movie. It’s informative and entertaining.</itunes:summary>
