Money Saving Tips
Money Saving Tip of the Week
Travel abroad rather than traveling in your home country if you have a stronger currency than the country you’re going to. A trip we took to Beijing, China cost us less overall than a trip that we had been thinking of taking to the Grand Canyon, even after souvenirs.

Talli’s Tightwad Tip of the Week
When you’re getting down to the bottom of a bottle of liquid soap, shampoo or conditioner, you can add a little water to the bottle, shake it vigorously and then pour as much of the product as you need where you need it. You can get a few extra uses from the bottle, saving you a little bit over time and reducing waste.

Money Making Tip
Carpool with some of your coworkers. Either you can alternate days and save some money, or you can drive everyday and collect money for the gas and wear and tear on your car. You can get more than driving costs you.

Tool of the Week
www.epinions.com
A website that you can use to evaluate the products so that you can get better value for your money. A penny saved is a penny earned

Don’t forget to put aside a portion of the windfall for taxes if applicable. Would not want it to sneak up on you when you settle up with uncle Sam…

    Ray,

Great point. You always need to put aside the money from your windfalls. Uncle Sam won’t be very forgiving if you don’t.
