On this episode of Millionaire or Bust, we cover the week of the US election. The financial markets were pretty volatile, so we had to talk about how the markets did and how President-Elect Obama figured into that.
We talked about the huge drop in the markets Wednesday and Thursday and the market rally on Friday. Of course with 51 consecutive days of oil price drops, we had to talk about that and about the drop in gas prices.
We also took a look at the rate drops by the UK and the European Central Bank.
And we had to talk about the latest two banks to fold: Franklin Bank and Security Pacific. That brings the current tally for the year up to nineteen.
For our penultimate topic, we looked at the new baggage check fees that Delta instituted, including the one on the first bag checked.
Finally, we looked at an article from Money Magazine on the job outlook for 2009, how it might affect you, what the least and most affected industries will be and how you can best prepare yourself for what you might face.
